What a bad episode, I mean it was so obvious the guy being hunted was innocent, but at least do something better than "he as a twin", in fact, my headcanon is gonna be that he was chasing after him for so long that the dude just came up with some bs story.
Plus don't act like your giving everyone a good reason and motivation for what team 7 is doing. I mean at first, they're like "wow can't believe these people let someone fight to the death just because it's called a vendetta and then, after hearing a rumour, being totally invested. I can understand Naruto helping him, but Kakashi really just went, okay sure guess we can just wait around all day for no reason. Actually no it wasn't for no reason it was to help kill a supposedly evil guy based on literally the first thing they heard about it.

Also on a related note, does anyone else think it's a little sus how often Kakashi and Sakura are left alone? I probably wouldn't think anything of it but it's actually weird how little we see them talking to each other. It probably would mean much except for how much naruto and Sasuke are together, you'd think they'd have some kind of dynamic after all this time but it's the exact opposite. Plus last episode, in the flashback Kakashi sent Sasuke to get Naruto and we never saw Sakura and him again, surely they would have gotten worried about them being gone for so long.
The more I think about it the more it feels like something going on that they're just not showing us.
anyway the ending was pretty good so I guess that made up for such a terrible episode

Welp it caused a lot but i really can't deny that because of Jiraiya's death and Pain Naruto has now grown more mature and when the time comes that he and Sasuke will battle each other again he would know now what to say to Sasuke for Sasuke to understand what he's doing is pointless or wrong
